Carolina Canopy welcomes travelers to CLT Airport in the International Arrivals Hall, offering a first impression for international visitors and a warm “welcome home” for returning residents. This 8'3" high by 80' long hand-glazed, hand-cut mosaic mural serves as a gentle transition from the sky they’ve journeyed through to the grounding presence of Charlotte, just beyond the airport doors. Inspired by the region’s vibrant spring bloom, Carolina Canopy invites travelers into a treetop world—immersing them in the canopy of local flowering trees, where native and migratory birds perch among the branches in moments of stillness and discovery.
