FEAR OF FLYING

Fear of Flying, 2025

Acrylic on unstretched canvas and wood panels

60” x 70” x 2.5”

#2501

This work is a part of a larger ongoing series, Molting Mutations. This series features mixed media works constructed from repurposed materials, including old canvases, drop cloths, sculptures, drawings, and prints. These elements are layered, cut, and reassembled into textured, irregular forms that resemble tapestries. Through this process, a dialogue emerges between past and present, between what was once discarded and what becomes new.

All pieces are textured, heavy weight canvas. Aluminum cleats are attached to the back so they float an inch off the wall and are easily installed. Smaller panels are heavy weight canvas adhered to wood panels hung with cleats.
