Good Morning Houston!

Today on the front page of the Houston Chronicle you can read about METRO Arts in Transit and see images of the vine installation for Burnett Station.

After completing the final designs  in 2010, it is so exciting to see the stations being installed and being a part of such a momentous occasion for Houston transit.  Thanks to Sara Kellner for managing such a huge task so well.

Love Field Artist Reception

On Tuesday I was joined by my family and friends at an artist reception for the artists who created public work for Dallas Love Field.  It was a joy to share this moment and my work with my mother Lorena, her husband Ralph, my sister Rita and brother David, who all came down from Oklahoma for the event.  I am honored to be part of this collection with so many other great artists.

David and Saskia admiring the 3D pieces.

Long time friends and collaborators, myself and Saskia.

Good looking family!

Perfect dinner with family and friends.

North Texas Sunrise Opening!

On Monday night I attended the celebratory unveiling of the completed new terminal at Dallas Love Field Airport.  It was an elegant event and a memorable celebration and I was thrilled my friend and collaborator Saskia Seibrand of Mosaika was able to join me.  Below are some of my favorite moments.

It's official!

With the one and only Saskia.

With Joe, our go to man from Hensel Phelps.  Thanks Joe! ps He cleans up well!

With Bob Montgomery of Southwest Airlines.

North Texas Sunrise DAY 25, LAST DAY!

The rewarding end of a long and wonderful journey.  Many THANKS my assistant Kate and to the  team from Mosaika, all who glazed, cut, and placed tile as well as Mike, Emily and Ferruccio for installing.  Could not have done it without you! And a huge THANKS to Drema Chaves and Kay Kallos from the City of Dallas Office of Cultural Affairs, Kim Kavanagh of KAVPLAN, the team from Hensel Phelps Construction, and Jeff Miller of Love Field Modernization Program for all your support during the installation.

My amazing team! Ferruccio went home early and is not pictured.
